Texans Care Volunteer Day at Houston Food Bank

IDG employees participated at the Texans Care Volunteer Day at the Houston Food Bank.

Who We Are

The Houston Food Bank is America’s largest food bank in distribution to its network of 600 hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. Named top charity in Texas by Charity Navigator for financial performance and accountability, the Houston Food Bank provides 83 million nutritious meals to food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and other agencies, feeding 800,000 people each year. Fresh produce, meat and nonperishables are distributed from the warehouse, and hot meals are prepared and distributed from the new Keegan Kitchen, a 10,000 square foot, state-of-the-art industrial kitchen. Additional community services range from nutrition education to assistance with food stamp applications and hands-on job training. Red Barrels offer a convenient way for grocery shoppers to donate nonperishables for their neighbors in need.

The Houston Food Bank, founded in 1982, is a certified member of Feeding America, the nation's food bank network. The organization plans to grow to an annual distribution of 100 million nutritious meals by 2018. Find us on Facebook or follow our news on Twitter

IDG Drone

IDG has implemented the IDG Drone which captures the project’s journey in construction. One of the top tools of the trade has became a standard for our firm.

Our main focus is to provide a facility using the best of the best for our clients, and the drone is ultimately the most efficient tool to aid us in managing a project.

The benefits of using drone photography/videography are:

  • Cost effective for capturing footage vs. using a helicopter/plane
  • Allows to inspect difficult to reach areas quickly and safely
  • Creates more accurate surveys
  • Captures aerial progress of construction
  • Keeps the project on track and on budget

We provide a weekly aerial bird’s eye view video of the entire project from start to finish to move in. The footage is reflecting the current status of Aldine Northside Transportation Center. The project is due for completion at the end of summer.
